Plans, Priorities and Progress

You can find information on the whole cycle of commissioning, from planning and the priorities which inform our plans, to reporting back on the work we have done, in the slides below.

Making plans is important to ensure that our commissioning priorities and programmes are in step with local demand and changing health needs.

Our planning is informed by the NHS Five Year Forward View.

The detailed plans which inform our work can be found below.

Central Sussex and East Surrey Commissioning Alliance

The five CCGs of High Weald Lewes Havens, Horsham and Mid Sussex, Crawley, Brighton and Hove, and East Surrey have formed a partnership known as the Central Sussex and East Surrey Alliance (CSESA) and together have developed a Delivery Plan that sets out the case for change for the CSESA 'central Sussex corridor' as part of the wider Sussex and Easy Surrey STP submission.

Built around collaborative clusters of General Practice serving populations of approximately 50k, there are 20 ‘care hubs’ across the CSESA footprint currently in the process of integrating community health, mental health, social care and third sector support in order to improve the care provided to our local population, improve health outcomes and drive a greater level of efficiency across the whole system.  These care hubs will become the delivery units for a new organisational entity known as a Multi-Specialty Community Provider (MCP) which will be in place by 2020.
