Sussex and East Surrey Clinical Commissioning Groups

In January 2019, the eight CCGs across Sussex and East Surrey* appointed Adam Doyle, as their single substantive Chief Executive Officer. This is one of the largest health commissioning systems in the country, working under a single leadership to transform commissioning and integrated health & social care provision on behalf of a population of c1.8 million people.

The CCGs have agreed to be led by a single leadership team, with five having formally joined an Alliance; NHS Central Sussex and East Surrey Commissioning Alliance. The Alliance is a joint way of working across the five CCGs of central Sussex and East Surrey (Brighton and Hove, Crawley, East Surrey, High Weald Lewes Havens, Horsham and Mid Sussex) enabling them to work closer together to commission services more strategically, efficiently and effectively for their local populations and, aligning the CCGs more effectively with their Local Government partners.
