If you need information or documents from these pages in another language or in a different format please email hwlhccg.enquiries@nhs.net.

Our Governing Body is made up of local GPs and other experienced health professionals.

Our Constitution has more information on how the Governing Body makes decisions and how Governing Body members are appointed.  We also publish information on individual Members of the Governing Body, which you can find below.

The Governing Body meets monthly to discuss local health issues and make decisions. For details of the next meeting in public please check the Events page

Attending a meeting

We recognise that the people we serve are diverse, with a range of needs and from a range of backgrounds and we want to reflect this in our engagement approach. We offer translation and interpretation services, as required, at our main events alongside our commitment to supporting people to engage and providing information in alternative formats.

We are committed to openness and transparency and, as such, the Governing Body conducts as much of its business as possible in a session that members of the public are welcome to attend and observe.  For dates of our Governing Body meetings or to download the papers, visit the Events page.

Patients and members of the public are also invited to attend meetings of the Primary Care Commissioning Committee, a subcommittee of the Governing Body.

Members of the public attending Governing Body meetings are welcome to ask questions at the beginning of the meeting. Please submit your questions at least three working days before the meeting to hwlhccg.enquiries@nhs.net ensuring you include a contact name, telephone number or email address.

However, members of the public are asked to note that Governing Body meetings are meetings of the Governing Body held in public. They are not ‘public meetings’ where members of the public can speak at any point.

The agendas identify when the Chair will receive questions and comments from the public. For all other agenda items speaking rights are reserved to Governing Body members and agreed representatives sitting at the table; members of the public should not speak or intervene in proceedings unless invited to do so.  In all matters the Chair’s decision is final.

The introduction by the public or press representatives of recording, transmitting, video or similar apparatus into meetings of High Weald Lewes Havens Commissioning Group is not permitted.

A copy of the agenda and papers for the meeting is normally published on the Events page at least three working days before the meeting. Papers from previous meetings can be found below.

We want to make it as easy as possible for people to get involved in our work and find out more about local health services.  If you need information in an alternative format or language, including Easy Read, please contact us.

A key principle of our CCG is the openness and transparency we have between members of our Governing Body, our GP members and the local people we commission services for.

We maintain and publish a register of the members of the Governing Body which contains declarations regarding any interests that they have which could impact upon a decision to be made in the commissioning functions of the group.

The register is reviewed regularly, and updated as necessary. It is submitted to the Governing Body annually and is a standing agenda item for all Governing Body and committee meetings.

View our register of interests and of gifts and hospitality.
