Who we are

High Weald Lewes Havens Clinical Commissioning Group  is a GP-led body that plans and buys a wide range of health services on behalf of people in the High Weald Lewes Havens area.

We bring together 125 GPs, working in 20 practices, who look after more than 169,000 people who live in the area. Every GP can contribute to our discussions about local health and health services.

What We Do

We buy and plans health services on behalf of the local population. High Weald Lewes Havens CCG is responsible for making sure that the people in our area have access to the healthcare services they need.

We commission hospital, community health and voluntary sector services, including mental health, maternity, care for older people and those with long-term conditions, such as diabetes, dementia and heart disease.

By talking and listening to people in High Weald Lewes Havens, we decide which services are needed so that everyone – whoever they are, however they live and whatever their state of health – has access to the services, professionals and treatment they need to stay well and live healthily.

We are part of the Central Sussex and East Surrey Commissioning Alliance, a joint way of working across five CCGs (Brighton and Hove, Crawley, East Surrey, High Weald Lewes Havens and Horsham and Mid Sussex) that allows us to work closer together to commission services more efficiently and effectively for our local populations.

Our Vision and Values

Our vision is to commission high quality and safe services for local people.

The following values underpin everything we do as clinical commissioners:

  • Working together for patients
  • Respect and dignity

  • Everyone counts
